It is now confirmed by Mujahid Asari Dokubo, the de facto customary administration of Biafra, that the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State must hold as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Uche Okafor- Mefor, the state’ s Director of Information and Communication, made the announcement in a statement in which he urged the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) not to deprive the people of the state the opportunity to vote as peace and harmony is always the best and not war.
In advance of the Anambra
governorship election on November 5, IPOB has scheduled a one- week sit- at-
home protest across the South- East states.
The rally, according to the organizers, was intended to pressure
the Nigerian government towards releasing Nnamdi Kanu.
It vowed that if Kanu was not released by November 4, the
protest would continue as scheduled.
Doctor Chike Akunyili, the spouse of late Professor Dora
Akunyili, the former Director- General of the National Agency for Food and Drug
Administration and Control, was assassinated and IPOB leader accused of being
responsible.
Kanu was also accused by the President of being responsible for
the murder of a former presidential assistant, Ahmad Gulak, as well as the
deaths of over 184
