Barr. Zaccaeus Dare, The Convener, Congress For Better Nigeria, as issued a strong warning that never again will the likes of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his generation rule Nigeria.
Barr. Zaccaeus Dare issued
the warning in a statement, insisting
that the Youths of Nigeria have taken their destinies in their hands, urged the
old brigades of politicians jostling for the Power in 2023 to take the back seat.
He stated that, Youths will no longer continue with the policy
of genetocracy, insisting that Gov. Yahaya Bello remains the rallying points
for Youths and women in Nigeria in view of his outstanding contributions to
Leadership.
While asking Youths to rally round one of their own, Barr. Dare
urged President Mohammadu Buhari to fulfill his promise to hand over to a Nigerian Youths
when he signed the Not too young to run bill into law.
According to him, President Buhari called on Youths to support
him to entrench a youth President, urged the President to groom a younger
generation President to take over from him.
He noted that all over the world, Youths have taken over
leadership of their country, listed several countries where Youths have taken
over, said Nigeria cannot be left out.
Dare emphasis that Youths of Nigeria are resolute on Gov. Bello,
insisting that Youths can no longer be intimidated as they have nominated Gov.
Bello to take over the mantle for 2023.
Barr Dare warned that if the country does not want a repeat of the
ugly occurrence of the EndSars crisis, behooves on the Present Nigerian leaders
to handover to a Youthful President.
He said President Buhari
became a President at the age of 40, while the likes of Gen. Yakubu Gowon,
Ibrahim Babangida and other President emerged before age 40, that Gov. Yahaya
Bello is not too young to rule, asked President Buhari to groom Gov. Bello to take
over from him.
He maintained that young people and Women in Nigeria are
comfortable with Gov. Bello saying nothing would stop the movement in
entrenching a Youth as President of Nigeria come 2023.
