Stay Clear from Uzodinma’s APC Warns as Police Slapped Rochas Okorocha Wife
Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has been warned by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to refrain from tainting Governor Hope Uzodimma's image with false allegations and fake tears in order to gain Nigerian sympathy.
"As a party, we counsel Rochas Okorocha to
abstain from his trite shenanigans and doomed efforts to link Senator Hope
Uzodimma with his self-imposed and merited predicament," the ruling party,
led by Macdonald Ebere, said.
The claims were made in a statement signed by Cajetan
Duke, the APC's publicity secretary in the state, on Monday.
According to the APC, Uche Nwosu's son-in-law
status does not grant him immunity from arrest and prosecution, as marrying the
daughter of a former governor does not confer any immunity.
"As a party, we advise Rochas Okorocha to
refrain from his trite shenanigans and doomed attempts to link Distinguished
Senator Hope Uzodimma with his self-inflicted and merited predicament,"
the statement read.
"The APC understands that the law does not
respect individuals and that no one is above it." It's also true that
refusing to comply with a genuine and lawful police invitation will result in a
forceful arrest in order to bring the person to justice."
APC praised Uzodimma's maturity in the face of
reckless provocations and rascality from people who were deliberately working
against the overall goal.
